About the Open Call

Summer Contemporary is a five-week visual art exhibition at Snape Maltings that celebrates artworks in a variety of mediums and disciplines. The exhibition is open to 2D artworks (not exceeding 220cm x 320cm) and 3D artworks (not exceeding 50cm x 50cm x 50cm). Britten Pears Arts (BPA) works on a 35% plus VAT commission rate. Artworks are insured by BPA against theft, vandalism, and accidental damage while on-site.

What is Offered

Inclusion in a five-week contemporary art exhibition, insurance coverage for artworks, and inclusion in BPA's social media and website promotion.

Requirements

Open to all artists aged 18 and over who currently reside in the UK. Works must be new and unseen. 2D works must be strung and ready to hang. Artists are responsible for delivery and collection of artworks.

How to Apply

Artists must pay the application fee (£20 for one work or £40 for two) via the website to receive a confirmation email with a link to submit application details and examples of work. Photos of the work should also be sent to sc@brittenpearsarts.org.
