SUB(SCAPE): A Call for Works About What Lies Beneath

About the Open Call
SUB(SCAPE) invites artists to submit works that examine what underlies the visible: the structural, psychological, geological, social, mechanical, or conceptual systems that sustain, complicate, or destabilize the world above. The exhibition explores literal depth and metaphorical interiority, addressing hidden frameworks, buried histories, private motivations, unseen labor, or invisible forces. It runs alongside the LAND(SCAPE) exhibition to contrast visible space with what is hidden below.
What is Offered
Each participating artist receives a $50 cash honorarium. One work per exhibition period is eligible for a $1,000 Grand Jury Award. Artists receive 70% of sales and inclusion in the Manifest Exhibition Annual (MEA) publication.
Requirements
Open to all artists internationally. Entries must be original works addressing the theme. No size or date restrictions. Professional presentation and craftsmanship are required for installation.
How to Apply
Artists must complete the online entry form and upload digital image files (JPEG, 1000px+, 72dpi) to the project's Dropbox link provided after submission. Fees are payable via check or PayPal.
