About the Open Call

Submissions are now open for articles to be included in Optic Nerve’s next print publication, “Taboo”. Taboo encompasses all that hell allows: scat (both fecal and musical), consumption of forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge, consumption of human flesh, desecration of the dead, incest, zoophilia, wearing white after labor day, and all else that would scandalize the sensibilities of those protected by the MPA board. To be considered, submit a 2-3 sentence pitch to submissions@opticnervemagazine.com with the subject line “Taboo Pitch”. Include a writing sample if you haven't written for the magazine before.
