About the Open Call

SUBMERGE is a festival of exchange celebrating choreography and artistic practice. The festival consists of professional workshops taught as precursors to performances. These workshops function as re-creative labs where artists guide participants into the crafting of their work, sharing creative processes, movement techniques, and choreographic methods. The festival aims to foster solidarity and a non-hierarchical platform of exchange between invited artists and local professionals.

What is Offered

Selected artists will have their work supplemented into the festival program and lead professional choreographic labs/workshops.

Requirements

The call is open to 2-4 works from Berlin and European-based artists. Artists are expected to lead workshops that share their creative processes and movement techniques alongside their performances.
