About the Open Call

The Studio Residency Grant is a residency for artists to create new work in any of WSW's studio disciplines: intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, or photography. WSW invites applications from artists at any stage in their careers. The residency occurs 1-2 years after application, between September and June. WSW provides technical advice and production assistance during the stay.

What is Offered

Stipend of $350/week, up to $500 for materials, up to $250 for travel within the Continental US, free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access.

Requirements

Artists at any stage in their careers working in intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, or photography.

How to Apply

Apply online via the Women's Studio Workshop Submittable portal. Applicants must submit a current resume, a 300-word project description (specifying studios to be used), up to ten images of recent work, and an image script including title, medium, dimensions, and date.
