About the Open Call

NES Artist Residency in Skagaströnd, Iceland, welcomes artists from all mediums, including writers, dancers, performers, and musicians. Accepted artists receive an individual workspace within a shared studio. Writers can utilize the Research Library, dancers and performers have access to the BioPol Dance Studio, and musicians can use the local music school. The residency aims to provide a supportive environment for artistic practice.

What is Offered

Individual workspace within an open, shared studio, access to a Research Library for writers, BioPol Dance Studio for dancers/performers, and local music school for musicians.

Requirements

Artists working in all mediums are welcome to apply. Applicants must submit a completed NES Application Form. Supporting documents required are: CV, Letter of intent (max 500 words with project description), and a link to webpage/examples of work, all compiled into a single PDF document. Incomplete applications or those without a supporting email will not be assessed. Applicants are responsible for verifying all visa requirements for travel to Iceland as soon as they accept an offer of residency.
