About the Open Call

The programme prepares dancers for professional life through real working conditions, collaborating with three internationally active choreographers (Sebastian Zuber, Arno Schuitemaker, and Rafaela Sahyoun). Over six months, participants develop and perform three independent stage pieces, receive structured feedback, and network with the free dance scene.

What is Offered

Six months of training and rehearsal, involvement in three professional productions, stage performances at E-WERK Freiburg, networking, and formal evaluations. Please note there is a participant fee of €3,800.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least two years of formal training in contemporary dance or a comparable qualification and must commit to the full duration of the programme from October 2026 to April 2027.

The application must include: three video links (max 2 min each) demonstrating material generation, technical level, and stage performance; a tabular CV (max 2 pages); and a final certificate of formal dance training.
