About the Open Call
The SOZO Fellowship is a coaching program designed to equip full-time working, mid-career independent artists with sustainability and entrepreneurship training. Using the Artists and Producers as Entrepreneurs and Changemakers (APEC) framework, the program provides guidance on vision, identity, wellbeing, business strategy, fundraising, and peer networking. The program runs virtually from June to December 2026 and includes group sessions, individual learning, and one-on-one sessions.
What is Offered
Includes expert coaching, networking, professional development, and a $1,500 honorarium for full participation and completion.
Requirements
Applicants must be US-based independent artists, US citizens or hold a valid work visa, have at least 10 years of professional paid experience in the arts, and be creating original work. Strictly visual artists are not eligible. Applicants must be able to commit to the virtual session schedule.
