About the Open Call

Field Projects and In Situ Polyculture Commons are partnering to offer a solo exhibition and residency fellowship. The opportunity includes a residency in Southern Vermont during summer 2026 and a solo exhibition in NYC in fall 2026. The program seeks artists making strong political statements or ecology-interested work, including immersive installations and experimental projects. Collaborative groups of up to four people are welcome to apply with a single application.

What is Offered

2-3 week residency in Vermont, solo exhibition in NYC, 1,500 USD stipend, studio space, accommodations, studio visit for exhibition planning, and installation support.

Requirements

Artists or collaborative groups must attend the residency and installation/opening. Residents are responsible for travel and food. Donation of two small works to the residency and gallery collections is required.

Apply online via the Submittable platform by submitting a portfolio and project proposal. Up to five semi-finalists will be invited for video interviews.
