SOILSCAPE
The SOILSCAPE Open Call aims to incentivize the integration of arts, arts-based, and creative approaches to increase soil literacy, raise awareness and engagement with soil and their preservation. To do so, the project has allocated 2,010,000€ for an elaborate FSTP scheme that will support individual applicants and small consortia (up to three (3) partners) in two call categories. 1. SOILSCAPE FSTP: This category includes the selection of twelve (12) sub-projects at different geographic scales (local, national, transnational) within three (3) specific strands of action, lasting six (6), twelve (12) or eighteen (18) months. The three strands include: Develop innovative communication campaigns; Organize and promote artistic-soil related activities; Deploy innovative, creative, and participatory methodologies to engage citizens with soil protection and preservation. 2. Soil Orchestra FSTP: In order to support the expansion of the Soil Orchestras and the execution of impactful soil festivals, 960,000€ has been allocated to fund an additional three (3) sub-projects in each of the eight (8) Soil Orchestras across Italy, Germany, Poland, France, Bulgaria, Finland, Switzerland, and Portugal. Each of these 24 sub-projects can receive up to 40,000€ and will follow an 18 month implementation period, focusing on creative tools, performing arts, visual arts, film, exhibitions, workshops, and educational games to animate national Soilscape Festivals. The Open Call, launched June 2, 2025 will close September 30, 2025 at 5pm CET with all sub-projects kicking off March 2026. All projects will follow a three phase implementation: Design, Develop, Validate. Supporting documents and webinars are available for preparation.
