About the Open Call

The Ora Lerman Charitable Trust provides residencies at Soaring Gardens for actively working artists. The program offers two living arrangements: a communal farmhouse and a private church space. Artists may apply individually or as part of a group. Nine sessions are available between April and November 2026, most lasting three weeks. The program is dedicated to inclusivity and handles each application with respect.

What is Offered

Three-week residency, studio space, accommodation, and limited need-based grants of $250 or $500.

Requirements

Applicants must be actively working visual artists, writers, or musicians with at least two years of professional experience. Students may apply with work not part of a course assignment.

How to Apply

Complete the Google Forms application and email a single PDF portfolio containing work samples, a project proposal (max 200 words), and a CV to lermantrust.residencymanager@gmail.com. Portfolio naming convention should be 'Firstname Lastname Discipline 2026'.
