The Ora Lerman Charitable Trust
The Ora Lerman Charitable Trust provides residencies for professional artists, writers, and musicians. Residents stay for three weeks at either the farmhouse, which offers a communal atmosphere and shared studio space, or the church, which provides a more private experience. The residency is inclusive and selection is based on individual merit. For the Summer 2026 season, applications open in November 2025 and multiple sessions are scheduled from April through November.
A three-week residency with no attendance or application fees. Need-based grants of $250 or $500 are also available for eligible applicants.
Applicants must be actively working visual artists, writers, instrumentalists, or composers with at least two years of professional experience. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible if submitting non-assignment work. Groups and individuals may apply.
Applicants must complete the Google Forms application and email a single PDF portfolio to lermantrust.residencymanager@gmail.com. The portfolio should include samples of work (images, writing, or links to audio/video), a project proposal of no more than 200 words, and a current resume or CV.
