Sitka Center for Art and Ecology
The Sitka Center for Art and Ecology provides time and space for artists, writers, and naturalists in a unique environment. Residencies occur between October and April and last from 2 weeks to 3 months. Specialized residencies are available, including the Jordan Schnitzer Printmaking Residency, Blue Sky Residency, Ford Family Foundation Golden Spot Residency, and the Recorder Residency.
Residency duration of 2 weeks to 3 months. Specialized stipends include up to $500 per week plus travel expenses for printmakers, $250 for Blue Sky photographers, $500 per week for Oregon visual artists, and $500 per week for recorder musicians and educators.
Open to visual artists, designers, architects, creative writers, journalists, playwrights, poets, scientists, musicians, composers, performers, filmmakers, curators, educators, and interdisciplinary practitioners. Specific work sample requirements apply to each category.
