Sioux City Art Center
ArtSplash is a successful community festival held two weekends after Labor Day. The event features up to 100 artists exhibiting original, handcrafted work. The festival provides each booth with access to 400 watts of electricity, allowing artists to keep work lit after sundown. Net proceeds from the festival support the exhibitions and educational programming of the Sioux City Art Center, western Iowa's only nationally accredited art museum. The event is a rain-or-shine festival, and artists are responsible for collecting Iowa sales tax on their sales.
10'x10' or 10'x20' booth space, access to 400 watts of electricity, artist retains 100% of sales proceeds, and designated artist parking area.
All work must be original and handcrafted by the applicant. No production studios, apprentices, or buy/sell merchandise are allowed. Artists must be present for both days of the festival. A minimum of 60 lb. weights per tent corner is required. Artists must provide their own professional-grade white canopy and 100 feet of extension cord.
Artists must apply through the ZAPPlication platform. Applications must include images of original work. If accepted, artists are required to supply their State of Iowa Tax ID number and purchase a booth space.
