About the Open Call

Feeling Seen is a community-centered photography project inviting photographers to share their current emotions, sensations, and surroundings. The project explores how photography can express both internal and external sensations, aiming to evoke emotional resonance and create space for others to feel something. By sharing images, the project seeks to amplify diverse voices and create opportunities for new perspectives in photography, embracing a raw, inclusive, and emotionally open process. The initiative encourages everyone, including those who may not consider themselves 'photographers,' to share their powerful, untold stories. This online exhibition is curated by guest curator Jenna Eady, who focuses on contemporary photographic practices and fostering sustainable community partnerships. Jenna has experience curating internationally and developing programs that support both established and emerging photographers, with a passion for visual storytelling and photography’s role in shaping identity and driving social change. This exhibition is part of Shutter Hub's 'Curate for the Community' project.
