SHARE The Dance Intensive
Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite is a former company member of Ballet British Columbia and William Forsythe’s Ballett Frankfurt. She has created over sixty works for companies such as The Royal Ballet and Nederlands Dans Theater, known for addressing themes like trauma and conflict. Jiří Pokorný is a Czech choreographer based in The Hague, Netherlands, who previously danced with Nederlands Dans Theater 2 and NDT1. This workshop is exclusively for SHARE The Dance Intensive. Each day will begin with a warm-up led by Jiří Pokorný focusing on improvisation tools used at Kidd Pivot (1h to 1h30 min), followed by a 3-hour repertoire workshop on the work of Crystal Pite. The workshop takes place on January 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2026. The schedule is: January 16th, 18th, 2026: 3 p.m - 8 p.m; January 17th, 2026: 9 a.m - 2 p.m.
An intensive workshop focusing on Crystal Pite's repertoire and improvisation tools, led by Jiri Pokorny, totaling 15 hours of instruction.
All Applicants must be professional or pre-professional dancers, movers, or performers, with a minimum age of 16 years old. You must provide a maximum of a 1-minute video link (Vimeo or Youtube) of your dancing (either improvising or choreographed solo; no group piece, no Instagram or Facebook link). A full detailed resume is to be uploaded (max 15MB) or provided via a weblink (Google Drive, Wetransfer).
