About the Open Call

The 56th printed issue of AAP Magazine will feature the best projects showcasing the theme 'Shadows'. Photographers are invited to submit a cohesive body of work or portfolio capturing the poetry and power of shadows. Any genre, capture method, or process is welcome, including color, black and white, digital, or analog.

What is Offered

$1,000 in total cash awards ($500 for 1st place, $300 for 2nd place, $200 for 3rd place), publication in AAP Magazine #56, free copy of the magazine, extensive press coverage, and a feature in the online Winners Gallery.

Requirements

Open to professional and amateur photographers aged 18 and older worldwide. Submissions must be a cohesive body of work or portfolio (up to 40 images). Technical specifications: JPEG format, 72 dpi, maximum 2MB per file, longest dimension max 1,200 pixels. Images previously published in AAP Magazine are ineligible.

How to Apply

Register an account on the All About Photo website, upload up to 40 images to your gallery, review entries, and complete the payment process. There is an early bird discount ($30) available until March 19, 2026.
