About the Open Call

Sculpture Space offers a dynamic, fully-funded residency designed to support and advance the careers of exceptional sculptors through creative exploration, community collaboration, and public engagement. Each year, 20-25 selected artists embark on a two-month residency, receiving housing, technical support, and a $1000 unrestricted stipend. Located in an industrial space formerly belonging to the Utica Steam Engine & Boiler Works, the residency fosters cultural partnerships and creative place-making.

What is Offered

Housing, 24-hour access to indoor and seasonal outdoor workspaces, specialized equipment, technical support, and a $1000 unrestricted stipend.

Requirements

The selection is highly competitive and is based on the quality of work samples and the scope of proposed projects.
