Sculpture Space
Sculpture Space invites sculptors to apply for two-month residencies occurring between February and November 2027. The program offers a 5,500 square foot shared studio with specialized equipment and technical assistance from a Studio Manager. Residents live in a newly renovated house with private bedrooms and shared living spaces. The residency emphasizes creative experimentation, dialogue, and community engagement, including informal studio visits and Works in Progress receptions. Participants are required to donate an artwork to the annual CHAIRity Art Auction.
Two-month residency, $1,000 stipend, free residential housing, 24-hour access to a 5,500 sqft studio, technical assistance, and networking opportunities with curators and writers.
Artists must focus on sculpture, have basic English communication skills, and commit to the full two-month residency. Selected artists must acknowledge Sculpture Space in subsequent exhibitions of work made during the residency and donate an artwork for the annual fundraising auction.
Applications must be submitted through the Slideroom portal. Applicants need to provide up to 12 examples of creative work from the last five years, a project description, a CV/Resume, and contact information for two references.
