About the Open Call

SATELLITE HOTEL ART BASEL 2025 is an acclaimed art fair conveniently located on Collins Avenue in Miami, next door to Aqua Art Fair, and a short walk from Untitled Art Fair, Scope, and Art Basel at the Convention Center. Voted 'Miami’s Best Art Fair' by Miami New Times and honored with a Mayoral Proclamation naming December 5th 'SATELLITE ART SHOW DAY' in Miami, the fair offers highly competitive opportunities for galleries, collectives, and organizations. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with early bird pricing ending on September 15th. Exhibitors rent hotel rooms for display, with sizes ranging from 140 sq ft ($5,600) to 320 sq ft ($9,600). Payment plans are available. Exhibitors are responsible for their own lighting, and a refundable $600 damage deposit is required. A $500 fee applies if furniture removal is requested. Exhibitors are also required to consign 1-3 works to the SATELLITE ART SHOWS online sales portal, with a 30% commission retained by Satellite on online sales. The consigned artwork should not be the same as that shown at the fair. The consignment agreement is for 1 year.

What is Offered

The opportunity provides exhibition space in a hotel room during Art Basel Week Miami 2025. Exhibitors gain exposure to a large art audience, being strategically located near other major art fairs. Accepted participants also receive access to the SATELLITE ART SHOWS online sales portal for consigning additional artworks, with a 30% commission on sales. Returning exhibitors receive priority placement and a discount. Payment plans are available for exhibition fees.

Requirements

Exhibitors must provide their own lighting. A refundable damage deposit of $600 is required before getting the room key. Upon acceptance, a first payment of $1,000 is due to secure participation. Full payment for exhibition space is due no later than one month before the exhibition. Failure to pay in full results in forfeiture of participation and fees paid. Cancellations mean complete forfeiture of money paid. Exhibitor must provide a one million dollar insurance policy for their exhibition. Exhibitor agrees to cross-promote. The exhibition must remain up for the duration of the entire show. Only works approved by show management are allowed. Exhibitors cannot assign, sublet, or share space without prior written consent. Exhibitors must keep their exhibition open and staffed at all times during show hours. Exhibitors are responsible for setting up, breaking down, removing packaging materials, and taking care of their own garbage. All non-exhibition materials must be stored, and the exhibit must be accessible to guests. Exhibitor agrees to forfeit any legal claims against Satellite Art Show for any reasons including acts of God. Exhibitor agrees that show management, contractors, hall, representatives, employees, guests, and agents are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to exhibitor or their property.

To apply, prospective exhibitors must complete an online application form which includes providing personal and organization details (name, email, website, Instagram, address), selecting preferred booth size (Small, Medium, Large) and specific booth number from the floor plan, indicating if they are a returning exhibitor (for priority placement and discount), confirming participation in the SATELLITE online sales portal, selecting furniture options (remove with $500 fee or keep), understanding lighting requirements (exhibitors provide their own), agreeing to a $600 refundable damage deposit, confirming a $1,000 first payment upon acceptance, and certifying agreement to the terms and conditions. The application fee is $25.00.
