About the Open Call

The Saari Residence, run by Kone Foundation, provides a two-month residency for individual professional artists, fiction writers, poets, novelists, translators, composers, curators and critics. Note that in 2027, the residence will be undergoing major renovations, resulting in fewer available places and work taking place primarily in the apartments. Recipients will be announced in mid-June 2026.

What is Offered

Two-month residency including accommodation, workspace, and a monthly grant covering living and travel expenses.

Requirements

Applicants must be professional artists, fiction writers, poets, novelists, translators, composers, curators, or critics of any nationality. Individual artists, artist duos, and artistic working groups are eligible.
