The RAiR Foundation
Established in 1967, the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program offers six artists a year-long residency. Artists receive a place to live and work, a monthly stipend, and the opportunity to mount a solo exhibition at the Roswell Museum. The program aims to strengthen the vitality of visual art in New Mexico and provide artists with a supportive, collegial environment to break new ground.
A monthly stipend of $1100, an additional $250 monthly materials stipend, housing and studio utilities covered, potential family supplements, and a solo museum exhibition.
Professional visual artists 21 years of age or older involved in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video, digital media, and installation are eligible. Performance art, writing, and music are not supported.
