The North Country Rural Development Coalition (NRDC)
The North Country Rural Development Coalition (NRDC) invites proposals from artists, sculptors, and creative teams for The Blossom Reverie Fair. The project includes three main categories: Large-Scale Puppetry and Parade Production, Permanent Floral Sculpture for long-term display, and Temporary Bloom-Themed Installations. The fair transforms downtown Ticonderoga into a dreamlike garden with an opening mini-parade, live music, a vendor fair, and an illuminated puppet parade finale. Artworks should align with the theme 'Rainbows & Magic' and remain on public display through June 9, 2026.
The opportunity provides payment for an artist or company fee, material and fabrication costs, travel, lodging, per diem, and equipment rentals as outlined in the submitted itemized budget.
Applicants must be professional or emerging artists, creative teams, or puppetry companies with public art experience. Submissions must include a complete conceptual design, itemized budget, material safety considerations, and proof of insurance or required permits for installation. Artworks must be weather-resistant and safe for public interaction.
Submit a single PDF file (maximum 20 MB) including an artist or company statement, conceptual design and sketches, itemized budget, portfolio of 3-5 past projects, and equipment needs to office@northcountryruraldevelopment.org with the subject line 'Blossom Reverie Fair – [Your Name or Company]' by November 29, 2025.
