About the Open Call

c.r.e.t.a. rome (Ceramics, Residencies, Exhibitions, Teaching & the Arts) is offering 4-week artist residencies in Rome, Italy. As a 2015 & 2020 NCECA International Residency Award Partner, CRETA Rome supports visual artists and writers. The 2026 program includes various 4-week residency periods in Spring (February 2-March 1, April 1-28, May 4-31), Summer (June 1-28), and Fall (October 5-November 1, November 2-29). A selection committee of artists, art critics, and historians evaluates applicants based on their artistic experience, merit, and project proposal.
