About the Open Call

KETT gallery is offering an open call for alternative artists to experiment in their gallery space in Tartu, Estonia. The micro-residency runs from November 6-19, 2025, and is specifically for Baltic or Ukrainian artists. It provides an artist fee of 400€, private accommodation in Tartu for 13 nights, travel expenses covered up to 150€, and production expenses covered up to 300€. Participants will also engage in a screen printing project with Kuues Planeet studio and have dedicated time and space (45 m²) within KETT's gallery. The residency's outcome is a pop-up exhibition or installation at KETT gallery, accompanied by a public event such as an opening or artist talk. The call is open to street artists, comic artists, illustrators, lowbrow artists, or any other creatives who appreciate a DIY attitude and creative freedom. The residency is supported by the city of Tartu, Aparaaditehas, and Kuues Planeet.

What is Offered

Artist fee of 400€, private accommodation in Tartu for 13 nights, travel expenses covered up to 150€, production expenses covered up to 300€, screen printing project with Kuues Planeet studio, and time & space to create in KETT’s gallery space (45 m²).

Requirements

For Baltic or Ukrainian artists. Open to street artists, comic artists, illustrators, lowbrow artists or any other type of creatives who enjoy not taking themselves too seriously, appreciate a DIY attitude and creative freedom.
