About the Open Call

The Artist in Residence Munich program (AIR-M) provides guest artist residencies through open calls. The 2026 residency specifically focuses on 'Art and Play in Public Spaces'. Artists suggested for or applying to the program must reside outside of Bavaria. The residency is based on a rent- and grant agreement concluded between the City of Munich and the artist.

What is Offered

A monthly grant of €1,300 and a rent-free residency agreement.

Requirements

Artists must reside outside of the state of Bavaria, Germany.
