Malba (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires)
REM offers an urban experience that enables contact with diverse cultural expressions of Buenos Aires and fosters networks of artistic collaboration. The residency is conceived as a forum for dialogue and literary creation through activities and events. Invited authors spend their stay working on a manuscript, participating in public readings and interviews, and engaging with the city's cultural agenda.
Round-trip airfare, a furnished apartment, a USD 500 stipend, international travel insurance, a Malba Card for museum access, and the organization of three public activities and a press round.
Applicants must have at least three published books in genres such as novel, short story, poetry, or literary non-fiction (excluding academic or self-published works). They must not be Argentine citizens or residents. Participants are required to participate in public activities, produce a 1,000-word text based on a prompt, and work on a manuscript during their stay.
