About the Open Call

GöteborgsOperan and the Artistic Director for GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, Katrín Hall, are seeking a highly experienced Rehearsal Director with expertise in contemporary repertory, the creation of new pieces, and re-staging existing productions. Experience working within a large organisation is an asset. We value individuals who contribute to a positive and collaborative workplace culture. We need a person with a sharp artistic eye and a deep understanding of different choreographic languages, someone who is able to assist internationally renowned choreographers and emerging artists during their creation process with GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. You will be working closely with the Artistic Director and her vision for profiling the dance company. Good knowledge of English is a prerequisite as it is our working language. The main areas of responsibility are: Planning and running rehearsals to maintain the artistic quality of the pieces being presented; Giving morning classes as well as coaching dancers, both on an individual level and as a collective; Communicating production requirements to relevant departments in the opera house. Following productions on international tours. This is a full-time, one-year contract position beginning in mid-August 2026, with the possibility of extension.
