About the Open Call

The HeArt Box and Azulita Project invite artists working in all mediums to submit work to Re-Source, a juried exhibition opening in April 2026. This show celebrates creative reuse and ecological mindfulness, asking artists to consider where their materials come from and how artistic practice can evolve toward greater sustainability. We seek high-quality, professional artworks created from recycled, repurposed, low-impact, biodegradable, or locally sourced materials.

What is Offered

Inclusion in a gallery exhibition at The HeArt Box in Flagstaff, AZ. Artwork can be available for purchase with a 40% commission taken by the gallery.

Requirements

Artists may submit up to 3 original artworks. Maximum size for submissions is 24” x 24”. All submitted artwork must include a detailed materials list and a 150-word Artist Materials Statement explaining the approach to sustainability and creative reuse. All work must limit plastic usage (including acrylic paints) and emphasize organic, repurposed, or locally sourced materials.
