About the Open Call

The City of Kansas City, Missouri One Percent for Art program seeks qualifications for a Kansas City-area professional visual artist or artist team to design, fabricate, and install permanent wall-based public art for a new city parking garage at 18th & Lydia in the historic 18th & Vine district. Two to 5 semifinalist artists will be asked to advance to the RFP phase and propose designs. Semifinalists will be paid a design proposal stipend of $2,775.

What is Offered

Maximum budget of $165,000 for the project. Semifinalists will be paid a design proposal stipend of $2,775.

Requirements

Artists must be at least 18 years of age and based in the Kansas City Combined Statistical Area (CSA). Applicants must submit a resume, letter of interest, and work samples (5-10 images or videos) through the CaFÉ portal.
