About the Open Call

Zygote Press offers the 3rd annual PROOF Fellowship (Print Residency Of Ohio’s Future), specifically for non-printmaking artists from BIPOC communities. The residency provides education in silkscreen, monoprint, relief, intaglio, lithography, and RISO. Six artists will be selected to participate in a cohort that includes workshops, individual support, 24/7 studio access, and a concluding exhibition.

What is Offered

22 hours of workshop instruction ($2,500 value), 10 hours of individual support ($500 value), yearlong Zygote Community Membership, six months of 24/7 studio access, locker/flat file access, a $500 stipend, and participation in the 2026 PROOF Fellowship Exhibition with installation support.

Requirements

Applicants must be Northeast Ohio local artists from historically underrepresented (BIPOC) communities and primarily practice in non-printmaking media.
