About the Open Call

The VISIBLES project is an initiative by ONG Pim Pam Pum, focusing on an exhibition of photographs by women living in conflict, violence, or humanitarian crisis areas. It aims to empower these women and highlight their work on a global platform, using photography as a means of expression and testimony. Beyond the exhibition, the project includes round table discussions and a mentorship program for selected photographers. The goal is to promote their integration, professional growth, and artistic development, contributing to cultural enrichment and strengthening the community of women artists, particularly those in vulnerable situations. The project celebrates art and encourages women, both amateurs and professionals, to explore and immerse themselves in photography, valuing creativity and photographic instinct.

What is Offered

Selected photographers will have their photos exhibited internationally in Paris, Madrid, and Venezuela (Margarita Island). They will participate in round table discussions with experts and the public, receive personalized mentoring for 3 months to develop their careers, and be featured on the social media and website of ONG Pim Pam Pum. A special prize will be awarded to a photograph related to the photographer's country of origin, and a second prize (Coup de Cœur) will be determined by public vote on Instagram. 25 winners will participate in a 3-month mentoring program.

Requirements

The program is open to women photographers, both amateurs and professionals. Participants must reside in one of the invited countries: Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, Syria, Yemen, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Colombia, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central African Republic, Mozambique, Cameroon, Haiti, Venezuela, Ecuador, Mexico, Ethiopia. Each participant can submit between 2 and 5 photos. Photos must be in JPEG format (1-5MB each, RGB mode). The theme is open.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete an online form (link provided on the website and social media) or send their application via email to visibles@pimpampum.fr. The application must include 1 to 5 JPEG photos (1-5MB each, RGB mode), named as 'yourname_nameofphotography_01.jpeg', a text document detailing each photograph's name, location (city and country), and date taken. Additionally, a brief description of the photographer's profile (min 5 lines, max A4), including contact details (email, phone), place/date of birth, and place of residence, is required. An optional online portfolio link or digital portfolio attachment is accepted. Photographs previously exhibited or awarded are accepted, except those awarded in Europe.
