About the Open Call

The Prix Ars Electronica is an annual media art competition and trend barometer. It invites submissions in categories such as New Animation Art, Digital Humanity, Interactive Art +, and u19 – create your world. Winners receive the Golden Nica trophy, up to 10,000 euros per category, and the opportunity to present their work at the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz.

What is Offered

Golden Nica trophy, cash prizes up to 10,000 euros per category, and participation in the Ars Electronica Festival 2026 including exhibitions, forums, and ceremonies.

Requirements

The call is open to international media artists. Submissions must fit into the specified categories: New Animation Art, Digital Humanity, Interactive Art +, or u19 – create your world.
