Princess Grace Foundation-USA
The Princess Grace Foundation-USA identifies and nurtures extraordinary emerging artists in theater, dance, and film through game-changing grants. The Foundation is interested in artists' unique voices and trajectories, evaluating each artist through the lens of their individual journey. The program is committed to identifying and supporting diversity in all forms, including gender, race, sexuality, accessibility, and geography. Grants are awarded as unrestricted cash prizes intended to support the artist's professional development and career trajectory.
An unrestricted cash grant of $15,000 paid directly to the artist.
Applicants must be emerging artists at an early stage of their professional practice. Must be U.S. based (living and working in the US) with permanent work authorization. Candidates must be nominated by an eligible institution or previous winner; self-nominations are not permitted. Multidisciplinary artists must select a primary discipline and provide relevant work samples.
Applicants must be nominated by a non-profit university, arts organization, or a previous Princess Grace Award winner. The nominated artist begins the application via Submittable and provides nominator contact details. The nominator is then prompted to submit a letter of recommendation. Round 1 requires an application, CV, recommendation letter, artist statement, and a 2-minute work sample. Only invited artists proceed to the Round 2 full application.
