About the Open Call

Arts Gowanus is partnering with Brooklyn Pride and The Old Stone House & Washington Park to present an outdoor art exhibit featuring works by Brooklyn-based LGBTQIA+ artists. Accepted artworks will be printed on vinyl banners and displayed on the fence surrounding The Old Stone House and Washington Park from June 1 – August 1, 2026. The exhibition seeks work by Queer artists that explores the privileges and responsibilities of community and intersectional identity. The exhibition will also take place online.

What is Offered

Selected artwork will be printed on 36 x 36 inch vinyl banners and displayed in a public outdoor exhibition, with original works listed for sale on the Arts Gowanus website.

Requirements

Must be an LGBTQIA+ artist who lives or works in Brooklyn. No sexual content, nudity, or profanity allowed due to the location being near a children's playground.

Submit the online form via Jotform including artist details and high-resolution images of artwork.
