National Audubon Society
One of the most respected nature photography contests in the world, the Audubon Photography Awards celebrate the beauty and diversity of birds by awarding the best photographs and videos. The contest highlights bird species and behaviors while communicating the urgent need to protect essential habitats. This year, the competition expanded to include residents of Chile and Colombia alongside the US and Canada.
Grand Prize winners receive $5,000 USD and a trip to Antarctica with HX Expeditions. Winning images will also be featured in Audubon magazine.
Legal residents of Chile, Colombia, USA, or Canada. Adult category is for ages 18+, Youth category is for ages 13-17 (requires parent/guardian completion). Entries must follow ethical bird photography guidelines.
Register and submit entries through the official contest platform at premiosdefotografia.audubon.org. Applicants have a two-hour window to complete registration once the process is started. A preparation checklist is provided to ensure all materials are ready before submission.
