About the Open Call

Plein Air Litchfield 2026 is a week-long painting event where artists capture the landscapes of Litchfield. The program includes a competition for nationally acclaimed artists, a 'Quick Paint' for community members, and a series of free public events including art walks, demonstrations, and round table talks. The week culminates in a VIP Preview Party and a Collectors Art Show, Judging, and Sale.

What is Offered

$8,500 in total awards, participation in art shows and sales, and networking opportunities through demonstrations and round table talks.

Requirements

Artists arrive and paint throughout the week in Litchfield. The competition is open to artists via application on ShowSubmit, while community artists may participate in the Quick Paint sessions.
