About the Open Call

PLAYlab supports the creation of new performance works for young audiences. Up to five selected projects receive financial support, mentorship from an Artistic Associate, and rehearsal space at the Esplanade. The program culminates in a 15-minute work-in-progress presentation during the March On festival in 2026, allowing artists to receive feedback from live audiences and stakeholders.

What is Offered

Up to a maximum of SGD 3,000 (inclusive of honorariums and production costs), mentorship from PLAYlab Artistic Associate Ellison Tan Yuyang, access to rehearsal spaces, and a public presentation platform during the March On 2026 festival.

Requirements

Applicants must be interested in creating work for children twelve and under. While open to all, priority is given to Singapore-based artists. Original works are prioritized, and multilingual concepts are welcome. Participants must be available for consultations and rehearsals between December 2025 and April 2026.
