About the Open Call

From the vast deserts and dense rainforests to bustling city streets and remote mountain villages, Planet Earth invites photographers to explore the extraordinary diversity of life and land on our planet. This exhibition calls for work that reveals the beauty, complexity, and vulnerability of the world we inhabit—both its natural wonders and human narratives. We seek images that evoke awe and admiration, that document fragile ecosystems or resilient communities, that capture quiet moments of coexistence or urgent stories of change. Whether through sweeping landscapes, intimate portraits, or abstract interpretations, this is an opportunity to reflect on what it means to live on Earth in a time of environmental and cultural transformation. Photographers are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly—submissions may include: Natural landscapes in all their majesty or fragility; Wildlife in its habitat or under threat; Environmental impacts and human responses; Indigenous cultures and traditional lifeways; Urban life and the shaping of human environments; Climate change, conservation, and sustainability stories; Abstract, symbolic, or conceptual representations of Earth. As we face unprecedented ecological and social challenges, Planet Earth is a space to honor the interconnectedness of all life and the urgency of preservation. This exhibition invites viewers to look closer, feel deeper, and consider their place in the greater web of life. JUROR: Pinu Rahman is a celebrated lifestyle and travel photographer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His imagery captures the emotional texture of everyday life, the enduring spirit of rural communities, and the quiet beauty present in both the mundane and the remarkable. With a keen eye for the relationship between people and their environments, his work often highlights the subtle interplay between humanity and nature. Pinu has received more than 60 international photography awards, including the distinguished “Best of Nation” award for Bangladesh at the 2019 World Photographic Cup — a global team competition organized by the Federation of European Photographers (FEP) and the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). His photographs have appeared in leading publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, Nikkei Asia, Deutsche Welle (DW), Prothom Alo, and The Daily Star, and have been exhibited in group shows across cities including London, Paris, Athens, Dubai, Milan, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Kuala Lumpur. He has served as a juror for prominent international photography competitions, including the New York Photography Awards, London Photography Awards, ExceLens Awards, Global Photography Awards, and European Photography Awards. Beyond photography, Pinu enjoys writing features, reading, and playing the flute — pursuits that contribute to the gentle, poetic quality often present in his visual storytelling.
