About the Open Call

The programme offers two- and four-week residencies between March and November, with small cohorts of 2–4 participants living on-site and working in private studios. It supports a wide range of disciplines, from visual arts and performance to writing and scientific research—within a collaborative, rural setting. Alongside independent practice, residents are encouraged to exchange ideas, connect with the local community, and contribute through activities such as workshops or talks.

Requirements

The residency is open to emerging and established practitioners across disciplines, but applicants must be US-based and demonstrate a strong track record of focused work. Selection is competitive and based on the quality of work, relevance to the ranch’s themes, and potential for community engagement. Applicants must be self-directed, able to commit to the full residency period, and willing to contribute to ranch life or public programming during their stay.
