Photometria Awards 2026: Coming of Age (18+)

About the Open Call

As the festival reaches its 18th edition, the 2026 Photometria Awards focuses on the process of coming of age—a multifaceted condition shaped by internal and social ruptures, redefinitions, and acts of self-determination. The theme explores the tension between freedom and responsibility, childhood and adulthood. The contest is judged by Alec Soth. The top 25 shortlisted photos will be exhibited at the 18th Photometria International Photography Festival. One of the top three winners will have the opportunity to participate in next year's festival with a solo exhibition.

What is Offered

1st prize: NIKON Z30 Kit. 2nd & 3rd prize: Signed photo album by Alec Soth. One of the top three winners will be awarded a solo exhibition at next year's festival. The top 25 entries will be displayed at the 18th Photometria International Photography Festival.

Requirements

Original photography work only. Images must not exceed 400 KB for initial submission. High-resolution files required if selected for the final exhibition. AI-generated images are not permitted.

How to Apply

Submit entries via the official contest portal at https://www.photometria.gr/en?page_id=5033. Participants may submit 1 photo for free or up to 3 photos for an entry fee of 5 euros.
