About the Open Call

The Perron Art Prize alternates between Graphics, Painting, Sculpture, and Porcelain. For 2026, artists from Germany and Europe are invited to submit up to two porcelain works reflecting the theme 'Flowerpower'. The selection process involves a pre-jury based on submitted photographs followed by a final jury evaluation of the original works. The main prize is 4,500 Euro, with two sponsorship prizes of 1,500 Euro each for younger artists. Finalists' works will be displayed in a sales exhibition at Kunsthaus Frankenthal from September 12 to October 11, 2026.

Requirements

Works must be porcelain, theme 'Flowerpower', not older than three years, and not previously awarded. Maximum height 40 cm and diameter 30 cm. Open to artists in Germany and European countries. Sponsorship prizes are limited to artists aged 30 or younger at the time of submission.

How to Apply

Submit a completed and signed application form along with DIN A4 photographs of the works to the Frankenthal city administration by post. Photographs must not contain identifiable information about the applicant. Pre-selection results are determined via the submitted images.
