About the Open Call

Decagon Gallery invites photographers worldwide to submit to their online exhibition, 'Patterns in the Wild,' exploring rhythm and repetition in natural and urban environments. The call welcomes all photographic styles and techniques, from traditional to experimental, challenging artists to capture patterns in diverse settings. The exhibition will be juried by Wendi Schneider, a renowned visual artist known for her ethereal photographs that blend natural beauty with precious metals, whose work is held in numerous permanent collections globally.

What is Offered

First Place receives a $500 cash prize and an online solo exhibition. Second Place receives $300, and Third Place receives $200. Juror’s Awards and Honorable Mentions will also be given. All selected photographers will receive a digital award badge. Selected work will be published in a printed exhibition catalog available for purchase, and a short video presentation will be created and shared on the gallery’s YouTube channel, website, and social media.

Requirements

Open to photographers age 18 and older, worldwide. Photographs must be labeled 'First Name-Last Name_title'. Format: JPEG or JPG, 72 dpi, minimum size 2100 px on the longest side, and less than 3 MB. All entries must be submitted via the online form.
