About the Open Call

Pantanal Favela Studio (PFS) reaffirms its mission to de-hierarchize the contemporary art market starting from the Quebrada. Following the impact of ACT II in the 'Sangue nos Olhos' exhibition, PFS is initiating a movement of expansion through the PFS 01 Open Call. The studio is mapping productions that tension the boundaries between the margins and the center, seeking artists whose works reflect the aesthetic and political power of territorial lived experience, transforming the favela experience into cutting-edge contemporary thought. PFS operates as a creative hub and a gallery that values ethical and transparent management.

What is Offered

Selected artists will have the opportunity to occupy physical and digital spaces in a group exhibition scheduled for March 2026.

Requirements

The call is open to independent 'Quebrada' artists whose productions reflect the territorial lived experience and tension the boundaries between the margins and the center.
