MOV'IN CANNES
MOV'IN CANNES is an annual event established in 2023 that showcases short dance films. The festival provides a platform for dialogue between choreographic creation and moving images through international competition, masterclasses, and round-table discussions. Winning works are also broadcast on numéridanse.tv.
Prizes include a creative residency at Bastide Rouge for the Grand Prix winner, a grant for a new work from the Ministry of Culture, a masterclass teaching opportunity for the Student Prize winner, and screenings at Cineum Cannes.
Open to all international productions of short films (fiction, animation, documentary) that utilize dance and movement. Films must be under 10 minutes. Music videos are not accepted. Non-French films must be subtitled in English or French.
Submissions are accepted through the FilmFreeway platform. Applicants must submit short films under 10 minutes and, if selected, provide high-resolution photos, a 150-word synopsis with credits, and technical files including a DCP copy and ProRes file.
