About the Open Call

The 'Pure Art Collection' (Fine Art Market HK) hosts the 2026 visual arts exhibition 'Paint an Essay' at the historic Bridge+ UOB Art Academy Gallery. The theme focuses on the freedom and emotional honesty of modern prose, requiring artists to submit visual works paired with a 100-300 word essay. The exhibition supports 'Naïve Art' and provides a platform for non-full-time artists, including self-taught, amateur, and professional painters, to connect with collectors and gain exposure.

What is Offered

Exhibition space of approx. 90cm(W) x 150cm(H) for 7 days. Opportunities to connect with collectors. Note: Successful applicants must pay a fee (HK$2500 standard / HK$2200 for members). Sales commission: 30% for the gallery and 10% for the curator.

Requirements

Applicants must submit 1-4 works (oil, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, ink, 3D art, etc.) along with a 100-300 word essay. Works containing glass, dangerous materials, or political content are not accepted. Plagiarism and copies of original works are prohibited.
