PADA
The PADA International Residency 2026 invites artists to apply for various residency periods throughout the year, including April-May (7th April 2026 - 2nd June 2026), June-July (9th June 2026 - 3rd August 2026), September (1st September 2026 - 28th September 2026), and October-November (6th October 2026 - 30th November 2026). Applicants must be comfortable communicating in English and submit their application in English via the provided online form. The residency encourages projects that consider PADA's unique setting and promotes sustainable artistic practices. Artists are asked to describe their practice/research, propose a project for the residency, and outline any ideas for workshops or events. Additionally, applicants must provide a portfolio, CV, and address how their project can minimise environmental impact. They must also indicate their expectations from the residency and how they plan to fund their participation.
The opportunity provides dedicated time and space for artistic development during a chosen residency period (April-May, June-July, September, October-November 2026) at PADA Studios in Barreiro, Portugal. It includes the possibility to propose and host workshops or events for participants.
Applicants must be comfortable communicating in English and submit their application in English. They need to provide a professional artistic name, contact details, social media and website URLs, address, date of birth, nationality, preferred residency dates, a cover letter, artist statement, project proposal, portfolio, CV, sustainability statement, and details on funding plans.
Artists must fill out the online application form by October 19th. Required materials include an artistic name, gender pronouns, email, phone number, Instagram URL, other social networks, website URL, address (city and country based), date of birth, nationality, preferred dates for the residency, flexibility regarding dates, a cover letter (max 300 words), an artist statement (max 300 words), a project proposal (max 300 words), an optional workshop proposal (max 200 words), a PDF portfolio (max 10 pages, 12MB), a CV, a statement on sustainability, expectations from the residency, and details on funding plans.
