City of Granbury and the Granbury Cultural Arts Commission
The City of Granbury and the Granbury Cultural Arts Commission are seeking original designs by Hood County artists to cover 25 utility boxes (traffic signal cabinets). Original artwork submissions can be created in any 2D medium. Selected artists will have their work converted into vinyl wraps. The project aims to transform metal cabinets into vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive works of art that draw people passing by on foot, bicycle, or in vehicles.
Selected artists will be paid a $250.00 stipend per design chosen by a sponsor.
Applicants must live or work as an artist in Hood County, Texas, and be at least 18 years old. Artwork must be original, 2D, and scalable to various box sizes (approx. 56” x 151”). Designs cannot include advertising, logos, branding, photographs of people, or wording.
Artists must submit an entirely digital application through the CaFÉ platform at the provided URL. Artists can submit up to three design proposals.
