About the Open Call

The Call for Postcards OUT-OF-MAP: Feminist Narratives of Public Space invites artists, architects, designers, researchers, students, citizens, and activists to participate in a collective reflection on how feminist perspectives can reshape the understanding of public space. This project aims to uncover the emotional, relational, and political dimensions of urban life often neglected in conventional urban narratives.

What is Offered

Selected postcards will be featured in an exhibition at the Centre Cívic Sagrada Família in Barcelona as part of the Barcelona 2026 World Capital of Architecture programme.

Requirements

Technique is free (drawing, painting, photograph, collage, etc.). Submissions must include specified image, description, and bio documents.

How to Apply

Submit one image (JPG, 42x28.8cm, 300dpi), a text file with title/description (max 1000 chars), a biography (max 500 chars), and a headshot (JPG, 300dpi) via email to rhizoma.outofmap@gmail.com with the subject line 'OUT-OF-MAP – Postcard Submission – [Your Name and Surname]'.
