Ottawa Fringe
The Ottawa Fringe Festival is a non-curated performing arts festival where 50 companies present over 300 performances across 11 days. The festival uses a geographic quota system (50% local, 30% national, 20% international) and a two-phase lottery to reserve at least 25% of slots for IBPOC applicants. The festival is a proud member of The Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals and returns 100% of ticket sales to the artists.
100% of box office revenue returned to artists, opportunity to perform in Ottawa's largest theatre festival, and professional production environment.
Applicants must identify a Producer; only one application allowed per person; payment of the $25 lottery fee is mandatory; successful applicants must pay a $660 registration fee; artists must meet specific accessibility requirements outlined in the festival's Access Note.
Applications must be submitted through Eventotron (eventotron.com). Applicants must create a new event title, search for the 'Ottawa Fringe Festival 2026' in the Festivals & Seasons section, and complete the form before paying the non-refundable lottery fee.
